Appetizer – Meze Tarama
Tarama is a type of appetizer made from fish eggs unique to Turkish cuisine.
Its called also caviar appetizer.
Although mostly carp or trout eggs are used, it can also be prepared with sea bass eggs.
It is prepared by adding olive oil, lemon juice, bread crumbs and salt into the mashed fish eggs.
If desired, the fish taste can be lightened a little by adding crushed garlic.
